Course Duration
The course requires 3-4 hours, divided into four core lessons:
Lesson 1: I Have Something I Want to Say
An introduction to the concept of an inspirational speech and brainstorming topics with guidance from Joseph. Students will identify personal passions and select a topic that resonates with them.
Lesson 2: Moving an Audience
Discover strategies to connect with and inspire an audience. Joseph Sojourner guides students in building a case for their message and creating an effective call to action.
Lesson 3: Crafting Your Speech
Learn to structure a speech that flows seamlessly and captures attention. Students will draft key sections of their speech, using the Speech Organizer to align their message with impactful storytelling.
Lesson 4: Delivering Your Speech
This lesson will focus on presentation skills, including body language, vocal techniques, and audience engagement. Students will practice their delivery and receive peer feedback to improve.
